How to use the Speakers Hub
Eight short steps, about fifteen minutes total. Work through them now and you'll walk into September 24 with your session, your materials, and your logistics already settled.
Step 1: Sign in with your invitation email
Use the exact email address an organizer used to invite you and the Hub recognizes you automatically. Choose a magic link (one tap, no password) or create an email-and-password login. If the address doesn't match our list, email us and we'll add it in minutes.
Step 2: Finish your speaker profile
Add your name as it should appear on screen, your title and organization, pronouns, name pronunciation, badge name, and t-shirt size. Everything here feeds the program, your slide title card, and the introduction your moderator reads.
Step 3: Read and sign your agreement
Every speaker signs the Speaker Agreement and the Speaker Terms & Conditions electronically inside the Hub. It takes about two minutes, and you can reopen a signed copy any time.
Step 4: Confirm your session
My Session shows your assignment, exact start and end time, building and room, your allotted speaking time, and who else is on stage with you. Confirm it so we know you've seen the final details — and tell us right away if anything is wrong.
Step 5: Upload your headshot, bio, and slides
Headshots and bios go into the program and the Speaker Directory. Slides should be 16:9 widescreen with no embedded video links — upload your deck ahead of time and bring a USB backup anyway.
Step 6: Prep with your run of show
Every plenary and panel has a run of show with timing, segment order, and moderator notes. Panel guides can be read online or downloaded as a PDF. Panelists can reach their co-panelists directly through Session Contacts.
Step 7: Plan your travel and arrival
Check the venue, parking deck, complimentary shuttle times, and the courtesy hotel room blocks. Speaker check-in is at the Speaker Table in the Registration Center on the 2nd floor of the NCCU Student Center — arrive at least 60 minutes before your session.
Step 8: Put the Hub on your phone
Add the Hub to your home screen — on iPhone tap Share then "Add to Home Screen," on Android tap the menu then "Install app." Then print or save your Quick Card so your room, timing, and on-site contacts work even if campus Wi-Fi doesn't.
